The Fremantle - 1s chalked up a victory over University - 1s with Josh Thomas leading the way.
We kept University - 1s to 9/220 from 50 overs. Credit to Christopher Sabburg, who made a half-century (71) for our opponents. Our best with the ball was Kaiden Cookson, who took two for 24.
In reply, the team reached the target at 4/222 in 45.1 overs. Josh Thomas made a brilliant 89 off 104 balls, a well-made fifty. Solid support came from Dylan Ratter, who made 47.
Scarborough - 1s are next on the fixture list, next Saturday.
