It wasn't to be for our Fremantle - 2s, who lost to Joondalup - 2s on a day that didn't go our way.
First up, we made 7/245 from 50 overs. George Fishwick passed fifty on the way to 68 off 84 balls with four fours and three sixes. Sam Harding played a handy knock of 47. Harrison Young claimed three for 32 for Joondalup - 2s.
The hosts reached the target at 4/247 in 43.3 overs. Joshua Hendry made a stylish 112 not out for our opponents, a century worth applauding. The hosts' Jake Riccardi made a polished 100. Kian Doyle starred with the ball, taking three for 55.
Credit to our opponents, who played well. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
Chins up, everyone.
