Our Fremantle - 2s came unstuck as they came off second best against Melville - 2s.
Melville - 2s batted first and put 4/219 on the board from 50 overs. Keagan Lynch posted 90 not out for our opponents, a stylish fifty. Keith Munasinghe grabbed two for 33.
In reply, we finished on 104 from 31 overs. Guy Barnes led the way with 38 off 60 balls with two fours. There were also handy runs from Charlie Campo (36). Callum Herbert claimed four for 15 for the hosts.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. The side will be keen to bounce back.
