Despite some good moments, our Fremantle - 3s came off second best against Midland-Guildford - 3s away from home on Saturday.
We batted first and finished with 7/214 on the board from 45 overs. A classy 50 not out off 41 balls from Kian Doyle was the highlight. Keegan Davies played a handy knock of 38. Riley Gould was the best of Midland-Guildford - 3s' bowlers, finishing with four for 27.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 6/215 in 40.5 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Kelly Jones, who made 58. The wickets were shared around, with Vicario Gracias taking two for 39.
Credit to the hosts, and well played.
