Saturday didn't go our way, as our Fremantle - 2s went down against Subiaco-Floreat - 2s on a tough day.
First up, we made 176 from 46.2 overs. Jack Temple made a valuable 45 off 70 balls. Jared Day played a handy knock of 30. Piers Kirk was the main threat for Subiaco-Floreat - 2s, taking four for 25. Jamie Williams picked up three for 38 for the hosts.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 4/182 in 41.2 overs. Credit to Ben Tredget, who made a half-century (87) for the hosts. Benjamin Parker made a classy 52 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Our best with the ball was Alex Xiao, who took two for 39.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
